about

This exciting, ultra-spontaneous live album--featuring three of the top Northwest blues/soul singers backed by an all-star band--received rave reviews world-wide, and it was honored in Downbeat Magazine as one of the "Best Albums Of 2017."

Below are the CD's liner notes:

Over the half-decade that Marshall Glickman has been putting on classy jazz shows in Bend, Oregon, I’ve been his go-to guy to assemble funky blues/soul all-star line-ups.  It’s been a real treat for me to play with “dream bands” made up of my favorite musicians, and this year was no exception.  In fact, I’d say that the show captured on this recording topped them all for sheer fun and spontaneity.

Of course, when you assemble artists and human beings the calibre of the folks on this CD and put them in front of a great audience, it’s bound to be fun!  We didn’t over-think things; we just picked some of our favorite blues & soul tunes and let the good times roll.  As you’ll hear, the audience was ecstatic; I hope you will be too! —Louis Pain
